Dr Nikki Tugnet is a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Department of Rheumatology, Auckland Hospital, New Zealand. She is Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Auckland.
She trained as a rheumatologist in Birmingham, United Kingdom including 2 years at Queen Elizabeth Hospital/Birmingham University, the first unit to be designated a Lupus UK Centre of Excellence. Her research interests are in SLE, connective tissue disease and Integrated Rheumatology, especially the emerging field of medical yoga therapy and its applications in autoimmunedisease.
