Dr Ng is a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Department of Rheumatology, Waitemata District Health Board (DHB), and is Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Auckland.

She completed undergraduate medical training at UNSW Medical School, Sydney and rheumatology advanced training in Auckland and London, UK. Her postgraduate research training was at University College London in the UK. Her research interests are complex autoimmune diseases, in particular, lupus, inflammatory myopathies and scleroderma.

She leads the Rheumatology Clinical Research Group at Waitemata DHB. She is principal investigator in a number of international collaborative studies. She serves as a medical advisor for the Scleroderma NZ Association.
